How do you throw a curve ball?
Answered By Bob Hanneck, Editor
To throw a curve ball, the pitcher snaps his wrist downward at the moment of release for the ball to roll off the top of his hand. Since the pitcher put a twist on it at the last moment, it causes the ball to spin diagonally or from side to side. That last second spin causes the air around the ball to travel faster at the bottom of the ball's surface that it does at the top.
