How fast does a fastball go?
Answered By Bob Hanneck, Editor
Fastballs go as fast as 90- mph. A fastball is a ball thrown at high velocity by the pitcher. The fastball is the pitch that is easiest for the pitcher to control the location.
It is often used when the pitcher needs to throw a strike such as counts of 3- 0 and 3- 1.
